Welcome to the Minerva Mentors / PALs program
The Minerva Mentors are Peer Assistants for Learning (PALs). There is a Minerva Mentor assigned to each of the 7 Minerva Houses and there are 3 more PALs who work out of the office of Student Support Services.
These peer mentors provide coaching that addresses general academic needs that are necessary for success at Union College. These include study skills, and dealing with time management and anxiety. The PALs will help students with their personal development and also with adjusting to college life.
In addition to the peer mentor, each Minerva House has a dedicated Minerva Faculty Advisor who can be contacted with questions related to academic issues such as course sign up, declaring a major, and other curricular issues.
If you are interested in learning more about the Minerva Mentors/PALs program, please look through the web site. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact either of us.

Program Mission Statement
Our goal is to help students be successful at Union, not only academically but also in terms of personal growth. We do this by providing mentoring, guidance, and encouragement towards gaining the independence and self-reliance that is necessary for this success, and by acting as a liaison to the academic resources at Union.
